During the three-semester Engineering Design project Mirabeads, I worked in a multidisciplinary team to explore how microplastic waste could be transformed into meaningful products. Through material experimentation, market research, and iterative design processes, we developed a concept for bracelets made from collected microplastics and investigated its potential value for consumers. In addition to product development, we created a promotional video to communicate the concept, giving me experience with both the technical and commercial aspects of bringing a product to market.
